Wine Club

April 8, 2015 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

April’s Wine Club will feature South of the Border wines: Wines of Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

Even though all three regions offer a variety of wines, listed below are some suggestions to help you make your selection:

• New Zealand – Sauvignon Blanc – New Zealand’s flagship wine. The explosive flavors of New Zealand white Sauvignon Blanc are popular with wine critics and set the international benchmark for the style.

• Australian – Shiraz (Syrah) or a GSM which is a blend of Grenache, Shiraz (Syrah), and Mourvèdre grapes. This is the predominate wine produced in Australia. The blend is similar to Southern Rhône wines, including Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

• South Africa – Chenin Blanc
The most planted grape variety in South Africa is Chenin Blanc and it is also known by the same Steen. Meant to be consumed young, the fresh-and-fruity category is a refreshing and approachable style of Chenin Blanc.

Wine Club is BYOB and the cost is $3 cash at the door. Please RSVP with Katelynn at events@rcop.com or 215-772-1541.
